Dr. Hiren Patel is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with over 30 years of medical experience and has been practicing in Charlotte County since 2000. He founded Cardiology and Vascular Care Center with the vision of providing the highest quality, compassionate and patient-oriented care.

He completed his medical school education in the NHL Municipal Medical College in Ahmedabad, India. After immigrating to the United States, he underwent training in internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois. He then served as director of the emergency department at the Westside VA Medical Center in Chicago where he enjoyed teaching residents and medical students as a clinical instructor in the University of Illinois internal medicine department. From there, he was recruited to join the renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation as a clinical associate fellow in the department of cardiology. Subsequently, he continued his fellowship training in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, where he served as chief fellow in the department of cardiology.

After completing his training, Dr. Patel moved to Charlotte county and has been serving the people of the community ever since. He has continually worked to enhance the cardiovascular services provided by the local area hospitals. He was involved in starting the STEMI (emergency heart attack) program at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in 2007. He has served as chief of staff as well as director of the cath lab at Shorepoint Hospital. He specializes in the management of complex coronary and vascular diseases, heart failure and valve diseases as well as heart rhythm disorders. But most importantly, he takes pride in serving each patient he sees with the utmost diligence and compassion he would extend to a member of the family.
